today, everything, hopefully, fingers crossed, prayers said, will be installed. by everything i mean the cabinets and the oven and dishwasher. actually, the dishwasher will likely not be, but if all goes to plan, i’ll be making my own coffee on my new range in the morning.  those boxes in the middle pictures? they hold the dishwasher. and that’s the best view i have so far of my BEAUTIFUL new range. i’ll name her, it would be rude not to, but we need to get to know each other better first. all those cabinets in the bottom picture, taking up space in my bike parking lot? those will all be in place by the end of today. still missing one of the tall ones, and the doors need to be replaced…baby steps.

and you just wait to see what we have in store for the spots litter box. holy crap…it will make it official…it will make me a crazy cat lady.  i need a dog to offset what’s about to happen.

happy friday!

and on a more personal note, love and hugs to trav today. another year. its hard to believe it’s been half my lifetime.  xoxo

Even full of cabinet innards it’s the best place I’ve found to store my two-wheelers.

New plan…no kitchen (take out’s pretty tasty), bike garage instead?

Getting sanded and finished today:)

New floors!

Getting sanded and finished today:)

Out with the old, in with the new.

Today the old tattered kitchen floors are being replaced. There was a lull in all kitchen action over the holidays except for some electrical work. Flooring guys also brought the new floor boards in to ‘acclimate’ - Can’t wait for tonight’s after shot!

in a fun change of pace, i hit up the philly half marathon with roosk this morning.  d, the squeeze, roosk and i drove up to philly yesterday afternoon, picked up our packets, had a delicious dinner, hit the sack and woke up for 13.1 gorgeous miles.  the day was perfect. weather was amazing.
i have never run a race with someone before from start to finish. i always get so focused on my own race, but i had so much time running with roosk. it was about both of us achieving our own goals together.  she finished her first 12+ mile run and i broke some bad habits.  and it was a perfect day to boot.  oh, we also did some training planning for the marathon in march:)
thanks for a great run, roosk!

day 2.5: no wall!

i went home to meet the flooring guy and opened the door to this gorgeous site. i’m so excited!

day 2: the floors are up, exposing the old wood. i’m sad that i probably can’t repair it, which means no seamless entry to the kitchen. i’m depressed about it. really, really depressed.

off to talk to the flooring guy now. fingers crossed.
