operation beautiful
end fat talk. that’s the message that caitlin at healthy tipping point is trying to spread as far and wide as possible. i have been reading about her intent to end the fat talk for a bit now and was really happy to see a tangible way we can all contribute.
the bottom line is that we as women, and hey, i know plenty of men who suffer from this as well, are culturally and personally obsessed with how we look rather than how we feel. and we make excuses for how we look if its not like the super skinny strung out celebs we see across all forms of media. take care of your soul and your body and love them both in whatever shape they are. far too many people work out and eat right for the wrong reasons. its not healthy and its not sustainable. i’m just as guilty of this as anyone. some times more than other times.
so, i’m taking caitlin’s challenge and am going to not only help end the fat talk, but hopefully bring a moment of “hell yeah, i DO rock” behind through operation beautiful.
EDIT: check this out too…the dressing room project
