
i’m not a veggie. and i’m definitely not a vegan. i likely never will be 100% either (that might require getting over my fear of tomatoes, which i think we all know will never happen). but i think its tough to argue with a plant based diet. i think a hot dog has its place. and i think i steak has its place. and i KNOW ice cream, yogurt and cheese have their places.
but in my day to day, i have been reducing my meat consumption. and i have been doing this without really thinking about it. it wasn’t until i was unpacking from my trip to the grocery this weekend that i realized how many nuts, beans, grains, fruits and veggies i consume throughout the week and how little meat i eat. even fish. i do, however, eat a ton of dairy, which i might try to curb slightly.
time to start consciously thinking about why i eat what i eat. and what feels best.
